 Most REA ( Electric Coops ) are no longer allowing single phase motors, usually 10 Hp and above to used without a soft-start or be used at all. The motors can be very expensive and require a lot of power to start. Maintenance and replacement are also very expensive.

The use of a 3-Phase motor and a VFD (Inverter) cut the cost of the motor, limit the inrush (a VFD is the Best Soft-Start there is) and reduce maintenance by reducing mechanical wear on belts, bearings and all other mechanical components. This can all be done with your existing 230V or 480V single phase power.

We have a lot of experience using VFD to convert single to three phase and can help you make an informed decision on what's best for you.

Why Use a VFD to Give You 3-Phase ?

Do you only have Single Phase Power? Three Phase Power can be very expensive to bring to the pump site. Why spend all that money when single phase power is already available. With our Pump Panels we can create Three Phase output from Single Phase Input. Variable Frequency Drives convert Single Phase AC to DC and Invert the DC to Three Phase AC. Unlike Rotary Phase Converters, VFDs are all Solid State, No Mechanical wear, No Starter required, Easy to operate and easy to Install and take up less space.
